What is your Daily Mode of Operation? Do you have one? Read more…

Everyone needs a Daily Mode of Operation.  Why?  Because at the end of a productive day,
it is the simple tasks that are executed that keep the business running like a well-oiled machine.

Time can escape you when the little distractions become noisy
and the next thing you know it's the end of the day and those little tasks were left behind.

You have to treat your business like another Baby.  There's a schedule and you MUST execute.
If you're a Mom of a newborn.. your schedule may look a little like this:
7:30 AM Baby wakes up and needs to be taken outta the crib
7:35 AM Baby needs a diaper change
7:40 AM Baby wants to eat
8:15 AM Baby needs to be burped
8:45 AM Baby needs another diaper change
9:00 AM Baby need tummy time
9:15 AM Baby needs major diaper change + mini bath
9:30 AM Baby cries and needs a nap
9:50 AM Baby is asleep and Mommy grabs a quick shower
10:27 AM Baby cries and is awake
10:30 AM Baby needs a diaper change
10:35 AM Baby is hungry again
10:50 AM Baby needs to be burped
11:00 AM Baby wants to play
11:20 AM …

You get my drift right?

So it's all the simple little steps that you do EVERY. SINGLE. DAY that add up to Grow THAT Online Empire.
If you want to grow your audience, reach out to 5 people/ day and in 1 month's time, you will have grown your audience +155 people.

Now that you understand the importance of the little things done daily, you understand the importance of your Daily Mode of Operation.
Between getting Little Johnny down for a nap, taking Katie to ballet class, and Mikey to Band Practice, how do you create a consistent Daily Mode of Operation?

I'll lay out the simple steps right here for ya:

Find Times That Work For YOU

Block off times that are important to you as ‘no work zones'.  Happy to share with you a snapshot of my DMO (Daily Mode of Operation), skip down and click on the video below.  I will show you exactly the schedule that I follow, step-by-step.

Be sure to get an open planner.  Perhaps one that only has line items by the hour and also mini 3 checklist.  If you don't have one, you can grab the pdf here.

Create a Checklist of Non-negotiables That Need To Be Done EACH Day

What are these?  What are the income producing activities that you have?  What are the actions that are bringing in you $$$.  If it's talking to new people, if it's having a zoom, if it's a meeting?  Do you need to pour into your personal development?  Go and do these items.

Make a separate list of wishables, things you can get to after you've done your necessary actions.  Create a checklist of these items and have it staring you in the face.  Those checkboxes need to be checked before your head hits the pillow at the end of the day.

Get a Timer

If there is a certain thing that needs to be accomplished but really only takes you 15 minutes but you linger doing it, set the timer and stop when it goes off.  Or set alarm clocks to remind yourself.  Time will escape you if YOU let it.

If you have a smart phone, you should have a timer in there.  I personally like to keep it simple and use my kitchen timer.  I like the big numbers incase I need to have my phone available for other functions or if I'm working from my phone.

If there is busy work that you need to do, set a timer for 15-20 minutes and execute during that time.  When the timer goes off, take a walk outside, get a cup of joe, and take your mind off of work.  A true break.  Leave your office and close the door!

Content Creation Is An Ongoing Process

If you're the kind of person that has difficulty putting this down or you find yourself getting carried away with this, you need to set a limit.  We all know that you can be in content creation mode FOREVER and this something that is constantly moving and changing and adding and editing…

Do what you can in the set time each day and be ok with what you have accomplished.  Close the computer when the time is up and don't pick up where you left off until the next allotted time.  As long as you consistently show up, you will consistently produce, and it's over time you will see the fruit of your labor.

Spend Some Time Connecting With People
And if you're in Network Marketing, this is a crucial step

This step is so easy for me to push off.  Remember I am an introvert, it's work for me to talk to people, but it's an essential piece.  Set aside some time to do it.  Start out with 20 minutes a day (that's what I did).  The more you do something, the better at it that you get.  Creating connections needs to be at the top of your checklist especially if you know you need to do this and it's not part of your personality!  One powerful way for me to achieve this was to apply Attraction Marketing.  Instead of chasing after people, I have people coming into my inbox to talk to me!  That has made all the difference.
