And.. I must add, I was able to do this in less than 5 minutes a day totally free!

Hitting 76 posts was already a HUGE goal for me!!  That means that I created 76 posts all-by-myself.  Nope, I don't have an assistant (yet!).  Don't worry, honestly, I barely broke out in a sweat.  And I am going to list here exactly the steps that I did.

Just want to put here the screenshot so you know exactly what I'm talking about.  Okay, okay, I'm a bit proud of myself here, excuse me as I share my instagram account, it's just like a newborn baby!  You just want to share them with the world!!!

Be sure to follow me @elainemichaelspage and my journey of growth!

I'm going to be sharing the 3 steps that I did every single day to grow my instagram to 1,228 followers in no time.

I haven't even started IG stories or made categories yet.  I'm sure there will be a post about that when I finally do decide to add that into the mix.

1. Make a List of Relevant Hashtags

Instagram is ALL about the hashtags!!  This is how you connect with other people out there that care about the similar stuff.  And that's how others can find you.

Now don't become one of those hashtag-aholics!  You can really just post about 11 to 15 hashtags for each post.  Even though you are allowed up to 30 hashtags or so, don't overdo it!  It's annoying!  And you can more targeted audience if you selected hashtags that fall in the right range.  That means hashtags that aren't overly popular..  like the ones that have over 1 million likes.  You also probably don't want to add hashtags that have less than 1 thousand likes.

If you compile a list of really good hashtags, then you can simply mix and match them that mesh well with your post.  Then they are readily available when you want to drop them in your post for a greater reach.  Easy Peasy, takes 2 seconds!

2.  Create Your Own Image In Canva

There are tons of free eye catching images on!  And the great thing is, you can choose Instagram layout for the perfect dimensions.

You just pick, click, and drag from royalty free pictures or non copyrighted photos in Canva.  Add text that resonates with your tribe!

Then you just Save and Share!

3.  Put Your Own VOICE Into Your Posts

Time and time again, I see people posting images with no text or caption.  I did that in the beginning too.  Unless the image is really impactful and has a ton of value and very shareable, maybe you can get away with just posting the image.

When you put your thoughts or share something a little bit deeper, people tend to respond to that.  You may even be able to put a call to action at the end of your post to encourage commenting or more likes for your post!  That would get you more engagement and increase likability of that post.

No matter what you do, always put valuable stuff out there.  Don't just post for the sake of posting!  Post with intention!

Bonus Tip: Be Courteous But Discerning at the Same Time

When I get new followers, I follow back the ones that are relevant to my niche or within my industry.  I delete those looking for a bride or think that instagram is some kind of dating website.  Sorry!  But you're not in my niche!

If I see someone who is an influencer in my area, I definitely will follow back and even take a step further and open up a DM!

Remember, getting a ton of followers is great, don't get me wrong, but the stat that you really need to keep tabs on, are your leads!  That could be a blogpost entirely on it's own, but if you're curious, checkout this vid here.
