Social Media is something that has changed the face of Network Marketing. Traditionally, you needed to use the 3 foot method (speak to anyone within 3 feet of you) or as I have even heard the Belly to Belly Approach (no way!).

Or maybe you even prospected your Starbucks cashier?!  (I have to admit, I tried it once… after waiting around for a Venti Frappuccino and sweating through getting her to friend me on facebook… disaster!)

You can still utilize these offline methods of course, but if you want to reach a larger audience and utilize social media to draw people to you who are interested in what you have to offer with the comforts of your couch, social media is the way!

I'm going to share with you some of the advantages of leveraging social media that I have tested and learned…

However, I must preface this with *pick ONE strategy and learn what you can about that strategy and focus.


Larger Reach Than Your Tiny Warm Market

There are so many platforms to choose from depending on how you want to market.  Know that each platform works differently and you need to learn what method optimizes it best.

Here's an example of what can happen when you are laser focused in a 32 day period:

That's 10,000 impressions and I only tweeted daily on a brand new Twitter account for 32 days.


Only Reach Out to People Who You Want to See Your Stuff

Who do you think you can reach if you bake dog treats?  Do you think everyone in the world is going to want to buy your dog treats?  Probably not cat lovers or people who don't have any pets.

Now that you have figured out there are people who definitely aren't interested in what you have.  Who do you think would LOVE your dog treats?  Dog owners, dog lovers, dog parents, formers owners, dog trainers, etc.

Once you know who it is that would love what you have, now you want to put your dog treats in front of them!  Why?  Because they are more inclined to purchase your product for the dog that they absolutely love!

So, who is it that you want to speak to?

You Can Use A 1-to-Many Approach (Even In Your Sleep)

You can utilize social media to get out to your particular market BEYOND what a one on one coffee meeting or 1:1 phone call is going to do.  More eyeballs means more exposure to your business opportunity or your products!

It's true, people don't know your expertise, skillset, or service if you don't tell them!  What better way to let others know about you and what you have to offer than through social media.

Believe it or not, thru putting your heart felt message out on social media, you can turn a cold market into a warm market pretty quickly.  People follow others based on emotion.  People then move to purchase when you resonate at the same frequency and they see your success and attitude!


You Can Follow up Like a Boss

Have you ever hear the Fortune is in the Follow up?  How many of us are connecting with 10, 20, or maybe even 50 people a day but we lose track of who we talked with?  We frantically try to find that previous conversation to pick back up where we left off?

How do the Top Leaders or Top Bosses follow up with hundreds or even thousands of people within their organization?  They surely don't make an individual phonecall to every single person do they?

No they lead by example and then follow up consistently using a simple system.

No matter if you're a newbie and maybe you're a team of 1, you need to have a system in place to follow up with those who are listening.


Your Content Can Set You Up To Close

This only works if you put out super valuable stuff.  In order to stand out from the noise, you have to consistently put out valuable stuff.  What does that mean?  Well it depends on what niche you are in?!  Go and find out what that valuable stuff is!

It's true that it takes several exposures for people to move towards joining or signing up or further investigation to working along side you.

That's why you need to be consistently putting out valuable content that speaks to your audience.

In this world, authenticity rocks.  We are yearning to feel what people are feeling, we seek gratification whether that is looking into the inner workings of someone's life or thoughts.  Who hasn't been sucked into a reality tv show?  Why did Crazy Rich Asians make a huge hit at the box office?  Because it gave a glimpse into the mansions and party life of the super wealthy in Singapore.  We needed to fulfill that curiosity right?

When you draw people into your world, they just might want to come back for more…


Share Your Branded Content Across Several Platforms

Believe it or not, you can get a lot of traffic towards you, whether it is to your website or one of your social media channels when you have Brand Identity and promote across several platforms.

It's not as simple as copy and paste.  You do need to understand each platform and learn it's purpose, and how to utilize it effectively.
