“Oh, I don't know how to talk to people…”
“I'm not good at selling.”
“I've never been in a leadership position.. ever…”
Are these the very things you tell yourself? Or does it sound familiar? Maybe you've considered the possibility of Working from Home, doing the Internet Marketing thing as a potential avenue to go into, but you didn't know how to start.
Am I Right? (I'm smiling… because these were the exact statements I was telling myself.)
If you understand and believe in running your own online business, whether it is network marketing, affiliate marketing, building a brand, then you'll want to read further.
When you decide to become a Business Owner, you made a switch in your mind. You stepped into a leadership role. Not only that, you became the top of the team. You don't have anyone else to lean on other than yourself!!
So how do you overcome the lies that you tell yourself? I'm going to share right here.
Always Look Ahead to the Next Level
Never look back, unless you're looking to see how far you have come. If you believe in the saying, whatever you think will come to fruition, it's true. That's why we need to keep telling ourselves the next goal, the next step, the next level you want to achieve.
When we hear it, when we see it, when we write it down, we tap into our subconscious, your body will start to align yourself with the direction that you need to go.
Yes there will be obstacles, hurdles, life's expected journey that may distract, detrack, or have temporary setbacks. Remember, it's only that. Temporary. Motivation will keeping bringing us back to the path to continue the journey.
Love the journey, and it will love you back
Let's face it, if you are truly on this journey, money cannot be the only motivation you have. Anyone will tell you that more money may give you the accessibility to have nice things, but with it comes with more responsibilities, more investment back into you, your business.
It's more practical to hold onto making impact within the community that either you create or are a part of. This is a more sustainable way to continue on this entrepreneurial life. It's a give, give, and then take sort of cycle.
Surround yourself with the Right Community
That being said, it's very important WHO you have within your community. A supportive community will far outweigh trying to do it all by yourself.
If you look at the top leaders in any industry, they did not get there all alone. It's impossible and unpractical, and just NOT smart and totally unhealthy way to go. Why sacrifice your health to do this?
Trust me, when you don't have your health, you can't do the work, and you won't be able to spend the best of your time with the ones you love.
When I start in this Network Marketing Profession, I was getting the company training… reach out to 100 people you know and share what it is that you're doing. At the time I didn't know this wasn't in align with my personality or was it sustainable or scalable for my particular lifestyle.
I'm not saying that it doesn't work, because it has worked for other people. I, however, wanted to know how to leverage social media and make the most of my time and build the business of my dreams on a very part-time schedule.
In other words, don't wait, tell yourself to BE the leader that you need to be now.
